Where Do Indians Love To Shop Online?
A good number of Indians now prefer shopping online rather than at high-street stores the reasons being the convenience of having the shopped items delivered right at their doorstep. Attractive discounts through coupon codes offered by merchants act as an incentive enough and encourage online shoppers. However, many find it difficult to select the right shopping website, with 1000s of them in operation and all of them claiming to be the most reliable.
To find out which online shopping websites are preferred by Indians, the Logicserve Group carried out a poll with 3010 participants. Flipkart emerged as a clear winner with 68.97 % of the total votes reason, quick delivery service and quality customer support. Next to follow but way behind is Myntra with 17.87 % votes. Myntra is one of the top shopping destinations for lifestyle products and is highly popular among the young populace. Jabong is the third most popular online shopping spot with 2.62 % votes.
Snap Deal’s deals on dining, leisure and entertainment are offered at a discount of up to 50 to 90 percent across major Indian cities. However, according to the poll, Snap Deal enjoys just 1.83 % of the total glory. Other online shopping destinations offering some similar discounts include eBay, Yebhi, Homeshop, 99Karts.com, Indiatimes Shopping, Rediff Shopping and Inkfruit on their extensive product range.
The results of the poll conclude that customers, when shopping online, look out for a lot more than just a quality support and a quick delivery service. Many prefer online stores due to the discounts they offer. Topping it all, shoppers need not drive miles to reach the nearest high-street store to get their products at the best price possible. At the same time, they save on fuel and keep themselves away from choc-a-bloc street traffic. Others prefer online stores due to the large variety of products they stock. With all of these benefits, the number of customers swarming to the online stores is very much likely to shoot up in the future.
